Fashion Summer Shooting

This summer was one for the books (or should I say, the albums) as my busiest season yet for my photography! I had wedding after wedding and shoot after shoot, making up an absolutely amazing summer of doing what I love!

As a photographer in Utah, my clients and I have learned get the most out of these warm summer months since our winters are so cold and white (which is great for Christmas Card and family pictures though!) so my summers are busy busy filled with commercial shoots, lifestyle and family sessions, senior pictures, fashion bloggers stocking up on styled looks to save for a rainy day, and of course weddings upon weddings! Based here in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah, I found myself in shooting in the most beautiful locations! We were everywhere from the tippy top of Albion Basin, to the Great Salt Lake, to Park City, and Chicago too for a destination wedding I had the honor of shooting.
One of my favorite summery shoots was this swimsuit shoot for bloggers Lovely Deseret and Carissa Miss. Emily from Lovely Deseret blogs about modest clothing styles on her modest fashion blog and Carissa from Carissa Miss blogs about everything from lifestyle, to DIYs, to family history so the two of them got together and planned this fun swimsuit shoot out near the Saltaire at the Great Salt Lake. The sun danced for us off the water and performed an absolutely stunning sunset which gave these pictures the most beautiful warm glow I could ever hope for. I’ll definitely be going back to this spot again and again.
As fall approaches, I’ll miss these summery photoshoots but I’m excited for what the fall months will bring. Utah’s mountains turn colors and the views and canyons are full of all shades of warm browns, oranges, amber, and gold! I cannot wait to see what my clients and future clients will dream up for us to create together this season!
